Keo-Keo I'm trying to use Xwine, but I'm running into problems.  After I download it and add it to myDSL, I try to run winesetup, but all it says is that the command isn't found.  When I try just typing wine, it says
wine: creating configuration directory '/home/dsl/.wine'...
ln: /home/dsl/.wine-Kulj0L/dosdevices/c:: Operation not permitted
wine: wineprefixcreate failed while creating '/home/dsl/.wine'.

Any ideas?

Grey, maybe you aren't root user?

Wine from apt-get repository.

( as user dsl )
1. Install dsl-dpkg.dsl
2. Install gnu-utils.dsl

( as user root )
3. Change /etc/apt/sources.list from oldstable to stable.
4. apt-get update
5. apt-get install wine

( as user dsl )
6. Run ' winesetup '

Ke4nt you are my savior!!
I have tried everything, even install it from the .deb packages, and finally it was so simple.
I just want to add the following (replace previous step 6 with this one)

( as user root )
6. apt-get install winesetuptk

( as user dsl )
7. Run ' winesetup '

Hi Matsua,

Can you do the wine install on a frugal install with persistant /home and /opt? If so, what did you have to save?

Thanks!
