Wine from apt-get repository.

( as user dsl )
1. Install dsl-dpkg.dsl
2. Install gnu-utils.dsl

( as user root )
3. Change /etc/apt/sources.list from oldstable to stable.
4. apt-get update
5. apt-get install wine

( as user dsl )
6. Run ' winesetup '

Ok, I understand, but  if i have not internet and only have the wine*.tar.gz , how can i configure and run?

thanks, i trying to install dsl in my Gateway solo series 2100 laptop
40 mb ram
1,3 gb

i think that DSL is excelent, but i need to run Windoze apps, i try to install Wine but fails, the wine*.tar.gz i descompress in /temp but i don't know what do?
Anybody Help me?

This is Keo-Keo from forums.xbox-scene.. I had created a xwine.dsl for XDSL which should work in DSL itself.. http://www.x-dsl.org/downloads/xwine.dsl Type winesetup even though most things already work "Out of the box"
woop woop! very cool...
could you give a list of apps/games/anything that you've found working with it?  in fact, that'd be a cool spot for the wiki, a list of apps known to work well in wine+DSL.

http://frankscorner.org/ I would use that list.. If anyone would like to add it to myDSL repository or put me in the right direction.. Thats would be awesome.. So far i have tested Starcraft (working great!) I'm mosty doing a little development for XDSL http://x-dsl.org but friedgold takes most of the workload! (much smarter than I) So i can't test everything (xbox is a 733 with only 64mb's of ram)
thanks , keo keo
