Apps :: Yahoo don't like me (firefox)
I am unable to compose and/or send an email from yahoo mail using Firefox (dsl 1.5). Firefox will not allow me enter the text field (where you compose the email) I can address it and enter a subject. I tried to send an email with only a subject and the address but the 'send' button doesn't work.
I've been using dsl/firefox/yahoo for more than a year and a half until yesterday.
I found this post on Firefox support website:

Someone suggests upgrading to version 1.7.12, but what does that mean for me... the faithful DSL user?
Disable the "rich text formatting" or any other special features on yahoo, and it should work fine.
I use yahoo almost every day.

Okay, I switched it to 'plain text' in the options and now i'm able to compose a message but.... the send button doesn't work. I click send and it doesn't do anything (save as draft, spell check, and cancel buttons all work, but not send). Any ideas?
It appears that sending Yahoo mail in FF 0.9.1 no longer works with the latest yahoo mail upgrades. I have been messing with this and it looks like that's just the way it is. So, you are OK if you're using 2.0 but any version of DSL prior to 2.0 will need a mydsl version of FF.
Since work has been done to integrate the latest FF with Java in DSL 2.0, it might be a nice service to the DSL community to have this version of FF also packaged up as a mydsl file for the benefit of everyone not yet running 2.0.

I consider this latest Yahoo Mail "upgrade" to be a downgrade.
It appears that if you:
Are using an older computer
or
Are using an older web browser
or
Are using dialup
you will have performance problems or functionality problems.
Oh well.
