There are times that I have felt EXACTLY this way...It's no wonder you feel that way. 96% of the world is Windows, 2% Mac OS, and the stragglers pick up the rest.
Windows is like English: it's not perfect, it has lots of flaws, it doesn't always behave the way you would think, but man, everybody uses it.
So what are you doing about it (Linux, not English because without it I'd be mute)? I don't think the average person knows that much about Linux. "Oh ya, I've heard of that, it's all typing like DOS, right?" If more people knew about how easy it was to use, just mow much software there is for it (most of it free), and how you can even revamp old machines with it, I bet you could get the Linux market share above the Macs.Windows isn't like English, it is like smoking was in 1970 -- everybody knew it was bad for them, but they did it anyway because they were too stupid and addicted to stop, and it was still 'socially acceptable'.
