myDSL Extensions (deprecated) :: space or permission problem loading mydsl



As far as I know you can run /etc/init.d/mkwriteable and then extract the files as root.  The main issue with installing myDSL apps not as dsl is the creation of menu items, desktop icons, and user configurations.  An app like gnu-utils does not have these, so you shouldn't run into trouble.
The problem arose when I ran /etc/init.d/mkwriteable and extracted the files as root, in a console.

These were the conditions under which I got all the 'no space' errors.
