USB booting :: Can I install DSL in my MP3 Player USB Pendrive

I bought a 1GB pendrive and I would like to know if it is possible to install linux without harming the MP3 system.

If you do it, I might suggest you only try the hdd option rather than the zip option since the later will add partitions to your drive which may or may not make the majority of your drive invisible to the version of windows you are using. If you completely understand how to use fdisk/sfdisk, go for it.
