I would like to do the same...I have tried the Install to USB HDD option, but when my pendrive boots up, it cannot find the kernel image.
Can anyone help?
Boot DSL from livecd.
Do a USBHDD pendrive installation.
It will restore your pendrive to a single partition.
The problem I am having with that is when I do the HDD install, when the pendrive boots, i cannot find the kernal image
In order to do a full HD install, you will need to copy the /boot folder from the livecd over to your USB drive.
For USB boot problems, try creating a USB boot floppy and see if you can boot using floppy+USBdrive
