USB booting :: Boot problem after using USB Boot
I have installed DSLin on a USB stick, tonight I was surfing the net with DSLin, the exited and reebooted to use Xandros.
When I restart the computer, I get the Dell logo screen, then get the following.......and I am unabe to do anything.
L 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99..........and so on......till it covers half of my display.
I am only a Linux user for a month.........so I don't have a clue to what this might be.......any input would be greatly appreciated.

Penguin,
I had this problem with usb pendrive distros that I was trying to get to boot up. All these numbers came up - 9s everywhere.
Basically, I figured out eventually that my AwardBios was pretty weird.
OK what I did to get DSL to boot off my usb stick was to understand that my computer sensed my stick as a hard drive.
I had to set first boot device as hard drive in one of the BIOS menus AND set the hard drive boot priority as the usb stick in the hard drive boot priority menu (anouther menu).
Also, in the BIOS I disabled the usb 2.0 chip so the computer reverted back to the old usb 1.0 standard. I think 1.0 was the old standard wasn't it.
When I came out of the BIOS DSL booted wonderfully and has done every time now!
These were the things I did to get DSL usb to work you may need to do similar things.
