USB booting :: Cannot access the remaining partition on USB

Hi.

I have a iomega USB drive and used the DSL-N Live CD to do a USB Install. However, it has only set the 1st partion to 100MB. I need to increase it to be able to install Qemu onto it. BUT, I have used parted on my suse box but it will not let me increase the sda1 past 130MB. I am short by a about 30mb for Qemu....

When I try and use parted "resize to 230", I just get a this feature has not been implemented! I have tried using suse's own partion tool via YaST and that comes up with an error....

I have just spent time searching for a tool on google but no luck!!! Everything points using parted....

Also, the second partition is not viewable in windows? I have formated it to Fat32 but windows XP still wont access it. Disk Management does see it and says its healthy???

Anybody now of any tools? I would like to increase the sda1 so I can stick Qemu and run it via windows (I like the ability to boot from it even though my stupid laptop wont boot from USB), would be usefull for using at work!

Thank you for all your help.
Appreciate it, and from what I have seen DSL-N is sooo much faster then SuSE!

Does it work if you try to do a USBHDD install?
Hi.

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Yes, I did a USB install. Basically it has set the root partition to about <100mb cant remember, and then the rest is in a another partition. BUT windows wont see my other parition. Is it possible to choose USB size on installation?? I dont recall seeing an option???

Thanks.
Abbas.

Please move your DSL-N questions to the DSL-N forums, so that others using DSL-N can also benefit from the questions and answers. Thanks.
