USB booting :: USB boot

Hi, Im sure that you must get bored of the same old question however....
I have trawled the forums and cant find the information i need, i understand that to create a USB boot disk with DSL i have to format my USB disk in a certain manner then mount the linux iso onto the disk, that said i can only find information for mounting the information from a Linux OS i am using Windoze. Is their something obvios i am missing.

I have also tried the embedded.zips by they keep failing the cyclic redundancy checks on download.

i am using a Pretec CuFlash 256mb Diamond.
Thanks in advance
WhiteChapleDoctor.

well after some more reading i belive ive found the solution. on a different tangent does anyone know if there is software that burns iso images to USB's direct or is it a case of write it yourself.^_^
If your embedded zips are no good, what makes you think
the .iso is okay?

Why not burn a bootable CD ? it's far easier to boot from CD as a starting point. Then sort out your USB drive later.

thanks, thats what i have done with mixed results i may add. but im sure i'll work though them :) .
Cheers WCD
