USB booting :: root access

is there a way to automatically log-in as root or the superuser during the boot process?

use "dsl 2" boot option.

I've tried that. But then it claims that it can't find the Knoppix file. In fact, when ever I try a diffrent boot option other than just pushing enter it says that.
