USB booting :: Mouse not working
Hi,
I have an 80GB laptop hard disk and USB enclosure. I followed the Windows guide on http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/wiki....h_Drive to install DSL 3.1 on the hard disk. The problem is that when DSL boots, the mouse doesn't work even though the optical red light is glowing.
When it finishes scanning for USB devices, it starts to autoconfigure devices. However when the progress bar for "Autoconfiguring devices" reaches the end (or at least I think it's the end) it gives this error:
modprobe: modprobe: can't locate module block-major-2
Then it says that it identified the mouse as Logitech, Inc. etc etc. Please note that the mouse is USB and the thin client I connected it to does not allow for PS/2 mice.
Well, it keeps on going but at the end the mouse just doesn't work. Any clues?
i have the same problem, help anyone?
AndrewJ, the problem was easy to fix. I forgot the exact syntax since I'm a complete Linux newbie, but it involved running something like xsetup.sh and changing the mouse settings from there.
