USB booting :: moving files

i just need some quick help. is it okay if i move all of my files from my root to another folder?i used HP drive key boot utility. just wanted to be safe and make sure. :;):

Do you use Qemu or boot from usb? If you boot, it matters where you move the files, only /boot and /boot/syslinux would work..

i use qmenu.

It shouldn't matter whether or not you used that boot utility then. You can just copy and paste the files.
