USB booting :: USB boot compatability list
Hey I tried installing dsl on my USB while running dsl. I didn't work, and I couldnt be bothered playing around with the settings. So I booted windows, put my USB in, and Windows only reconized 49MB of my 512MB USB. I tried formating it but it still wouldn't work. How can I get the full compacity of my USB to work again.
Please help, I can't last on 49MB.
u had created 2 partition on the stick. as windows always read the first partition and igonored the rest on usb stick. use fdisk to remove the partition. or u could search google on how to manipulate usb as hdd

Is this post limited to DSL?
Have Ubuntu running on 2G Kingston Data traveler and 8G Transcend JF V10. The 8G seem a little slower.
Works great on P4P800 MB and P5N32-SLI SE Delux MB.
Plan on trying DSL on Asus Z70va laptop with 2G Transcend SD today. (The laptop boots the pendrives ok but they are set up for Nvidia and the laptop has ATI X700 so no X)
