USB booting :: Lexar  JumpDrive 256MB

I have followed the discription at  "http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/talk/node/86"
every time I try to boot the screen tells me to put a bootable disk in the floppie drive.

I am atempting to set up DSL to run from a LEXAR  256MB JumpDrive secure.

Please help..
I am new to Linux and am considering switching from the Windows XP OS....but this thing is very frustrateing without anyone to guide me..

And thank you for your time.

If you're using Windows XP, perhaps you should try this tutorial to see if you can get it to boot!

Good luck.

I have one of these Lexar's and I can't even get DSL to read from it.  Much less boot.  There are other posts on this formum about the incompatability of this particular brand with DSL.
Unless the "secure" function to the drive is being inhibiting,
I'm not having ANY issues with my Lexar products in DSL.

Lexar 128MB Jumpdrive = 5 way bootable DSL works
Lexar 256MB Jumpdrive = 5 way bootable DSL works
Lexar 256MB CF card = DSL frugal installed works

I DID have to change geometry on EVERY lexar key
I've had my hands on, but once done, no problems.

hmm...maybe that's my problem.

From the very beginning whenever I plugged it in, just to do plain jane file transfers, the thing would lock up DSL.
