USB booting :: problem with syslinux
Sorry for the basic post, but I'm very new to DSL. I just read the Feb 2005 article Linux on a Stick and am trying to make a bootable pen drive. All the commands in that article worked nicely, until the last command, which is "syslinux /dev/sda". My DSL installation (dsl-1.0rc2-syslinux.iso) cannot find the syslinux command. Nor could a few other distros I have downloaded. Is there anything that I can do in order to make this bootable pen drive work? Thanks in advance.

Boot into DSL.
Start Synaptic from the DSL menu
Choose syslinux from the list of programs.
Push the install button.
When install is finished, exit Synaptic.
Open a terminal window
type:
sudo su
syslinux /dev/sda
and you are in business.
