Hello All, Upon reading this forum I have noticed that some people using Asus boards (Specifically any of the nforce ones for AMD's) have not had much luck booting a USB drive. I am in the same boat, any suggestions would be welcome, and for posterity and future searches by people with the same hardware: Anytime I try to boot to a DSL USB-HDD drive it just asks me to install the boot disk and press enter. I have tried all different BIOS settings from USB-HDD, no other devices, to USB-ZIP, USB-CDROM etc... Specs: Asus 87N8X-E Deluxe with v 1008 BIOS revision 2. with the Nforce 2 Ultra chipset. Needless to say it doesn't work with this motherboard. I even updated to the latest BIOS etc... |
