USB booting :: Help with frugal usb booting and install

about six months ago, i used dsl on a cd, but now i want to put it on a usb flash drive, i know that frugal is the way to go, but icant even figure out the files to use, will some kind soul assist in a step by step manner?

I believe for a usb drive there is an option in the menu in dsl.
apps->tools->install to usb pen drive

i tried the aps-tools->install to usb pendrive and it said that it couldn't find some file that it needed.
