First, boot up your computer from the DSL livecd. It is not possible to do a USB install from a running USB or DSL Embedded system.

I was tired of the FAQ page getting vandalized, so it got locked.

Looking at the history of the FAQ page it was only vandalized by one person and only one revert was required. Before it was locked there were a number of edits from people who aren't sysops/admins which improved the FAQ page.

I would ask you to please reconsider having the FAQ page locked.
