USB booting :: wont boot off of a floppy
Hello, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I didn't see a forum just for floppy,
I am trying to install DSL on a p1 120mhz 2gb hd compaq laptop. I am using a floppy that I made into a boot through rawwrite successfully.
So, when I put the disk in, it loads, then I hit enter at boot: and it starts loading.
I get 2 errors, the first one is when linux24 loads and then minirt24.gz is loading, then it says:
Boot failed: please change disks....
So, I just tried it again and for some reason it worked, I got further up ahead, however, I get the error that says:
Knoppix filesystem is not installed.
I am not sure what to do there. I saw someone changed something in their BIOS, but I don't even know how to get to the BIOS on this computer. I tried hitting the F2, the F10 and the Delete keys after the boot up, but never get in.
Any ideas about this?
Thanks
well, maybe it'll help if I have debian running as the OS. I currently had RH7 installed, with GNOME, unsuccessfully due to resource constraints.
