USB booting :: install/add application in USB

i've tried and it works like charm.
just like u said put the ext to /cdrom so it can be boot
automatically.
but sorry one more question.
after i installed ext *.dsl, the application shows the icon in desktop, but when i installed ext *.tar.gz it doesn't show its icon. how am i gonna find the application?

Right-click on an empty part of the desktop (where there is no icon).

Choose the program from the "MyDSL" section of the menu.

is it okay to install XMMS plugin ? if yes, how ?
because i want to play *.mov files.
sorry if my question against the purpose of DSL to have Small Linux.
