DSL Embedded :: Hard drive partitioning

i'm a complete n00b, but this is what i do:
i type in :sudo cfdisk
but the only dish that comes up seems to be the RAM... can i access the hard drive from emedded DSL?

Type;

sudo su
cfdisk

Qemu is a virtual machine and has no access to your real hardware.
Qemu DSL has provided a virtual hard drive called hdb in Qemu and is accessible natively as harddisk
