DSL Embedded :: Windows.bat file doesn't execute DSL

Ok, so i threw dsl embedded onto a USB drive, works fine when using the .sh in Linux, but no matter what I've tried, won't run on Windows.  I've tried 3 computers, searched the forums here, but no luck.  My wife's laptop has a partition with Win XP Home on it, 2.8GHZ P4, 256mb RAM, no luck.  My work computer is a screamer, 3.4GHZ P4, 1.5 GB Ram, XP Sp2, no luck.  My best friend's computer is similar specs, maybe somewhere in between, no luck.

All it does pop up a DOS window, then die within less than a second, nothing else.  From what I can read in the cmd window, it says that the .bat file isn't a recognized command?

Anyone have any ideas?  I really want to have a linux distro at work, and embedded is the only way I can do that.

Thanks!

Try opening a cmd terminal and run the file from that.  It should at least stay open so you can read the error.
Did you unzip the files into their directories?

In other words, there should be some sub-directories existing after unzipping your files for DSL-Embedded.

If all of the files are sitting in the top directory, then you need to change your unzipper program's settings to extract including the original directory structure.

What worked for me, was run Qemu.exe first in the Qemu folder..
