DSL Embedded :: mount files

ok stupid question since its probabily da first things that people learn when using Linux, but anyway...
how do you mount a hard drive using linux embedded, on a normal system i let the OS do the work (go live CDS!) but embedded don't seem to do that... anyone help?

If host OS is Windows then look at <THIS>.

You can mount physical hard drives with Qemu but read-only.
