DSL Embedded :: A few questions

Where can I find the .zip file for DSL embedded? I can't see it amongst the downloads.

Is it possible to have DSL embedded, and a bootable usb version at the same time? Storing cookies and such things on the usb key. That is, Both methods should act the same, and have the same files available. If I download and save a file in the USB boot, it will be available in the Embedded version when I run within windows.

Thanks. And sorry if thats a bit of a mess, but I'm sure you know what I meant.

My bad! I found the .zip file is amongst the others on the mirrors. Perhaps it should have an md5 sum on the Downloads page though?

I am going to have a play with this, and see what I can do towards my goal of running the 'same dsl' through a usb boot and qemu emulation.

It is in the download current section called dsl-2.2-embedded.zip

Yes this version can be boot natively or via Qemu within Windows.
Yes the virtual hard drive can be accessed by both methods of booting.

Within Qemu it is hdb
When booting natively you must add a boot parameter

boot: dsl qemu

This will then setup a device harddisk available natively to share contents of the virtual drive.

Very handy operating system.  I am new to linux and need an alternate operating system for my office machine.

except for intermittent keyboard outage, I'm running the embedded DSL just fine, but may also like to boot directly from USB (natively?) from time to time.  where do I add the boot parameter?

What exactly do you mean by "setting up a a harddisc" for sharing the contents of the virtual drive.  does the native boot then utilize two drives/partitions?
sorry if this is a dumb question
