DSL Embedded :: cant backup to USB

I have placed DSL embeded on my Pen drive and added some games, all into my /Home/DSL direcory. I proceded to shut down the emulator and noticed that It backed up my setings to /dev/hdb.
how do I change the configurations to backup to the same drive it is emulating from. (I tried sda, and that didnt work)
