DSL Embedded :: Can't load .tar.gz files

There's a guide to smb* on the startup page of dillo afaik.

Why do you need them on your ramdisk? You can load them off your drive or wherever you stored it.

If I can load them off my harddrive, how do I do it? I read the tut on smb, but I'm still having trouble. I need something a little more in depth.
