DSL Embedded :: Qemu Flashes and disappears

I am new to linux, and I downloaded DSL to my pendrive. When I run the bat all it does is flash the Qemu window, and then it's like nothing happned. Is there a problem with my os? Am I doing something wrong? I've got Windows XP home sp2, 1.87 ghz with 448mb ram.
open a terminal in windows (er, command prompt) start->run->cmd
goto wherever the batch file you're using is at, and type the filename for it 'file.bat' and when it runs, if there is an error, instead of the screen flashing and dissappearing it will now not disspear so you can read what it says.

I've tried that. I even changed up the bat so that it wouldn't clear, and its the Qemu prog that seems to have thr problem. The bat launches it correctly, but it just shows up and then disappears, no error. I've tried to use compatibility on both the bat and Qemu, but that changed nothing. I'm gonna take it to school tomorrow and see if it will work for me there. (They have a myriad of windows OSes)
Well, I figured out my problem. I use Stuffit, and when it extracted  the files it automatiacally extracted (or tried to) minirt24.gz and it was renamed to minirt24. Evidently Qemu errored out when it couldn't find the right file. I like dsl embeded, but it is a bit sluggish on my comp. :(
