DSL Embedded :: invalid tar magic
I meant out of RAM mainly, since you are using a liveCD (image)...although it could apply to disk space. If you have part of your system mounted on hda, which is already full, you'll have trouble when you try to write to that mount point.
If your image doesn't mount any part of the system onto the harddrive, the "out of space" would apply to RAM. If you have a pile of ram, then i guess space isn't the problem....although that 98% makes me wonder.
Understood. Well, I tried loading it to RAM, of which I have allotted 512 megs, and it is the same.
I'm not sure why it is getting corrupted during the ISO image creation.
Thanks again,

Just as an update.... I never figured the corrupted archive issue out, but I can make it load samba at boot by downloading samba.dsl to /mnt/hdb, and then appending mydsl=hdb to the dsl-windows.bat file. A how-to on creating a /dev/hdb (i.e.. harddisk2) image can be found in the forums. I made a 500 meg hdb, so I can play !!!!
Thanks again,
