Games :: playing tibia with wine

ive installed wine the same way as one of the moderators said in another thread, now i've downloaded tibia. its a windows game and should work on wine, it is proven. but somehow whenever i want to install it (run the exe setup) i get an error: Acces violation at addres 401A7DDB. write of address 0069006E. and then the setup quits. what to do about this? the setup can be downloaded here: www.tibia.com

Try running it from a root shell & see if it works. If it does then you installed in as root and are trying to run it as DSL user. This was an issue I ran into early on.
