Games :: install ET

how do i install enemy territory?
enemy territory will NOT work under any Linux I believe. It's primarly developed for Windows...
You could try to run in through a windows emulator (such as wine), but there is no guarentee that it will work.
Download it first:

http://mirrors.xmission.com/idsoftware/et/linux/et-linux-2.60.x86.run

Then:

chmod +x et-linux-2.60.x86.run
./et-linux-2.60.x86.run

It needs a decent 3d capable card (ATI/Nvidia), about 512mb ram (although it will run on 256mb), about 400mb of hd space, and a relatively decent cpu (1ghz and above).

Also if you have the space, consider downloading some of the maps from here, as some servers run custom maps as well as the default ones you get.

Here is a screenshot of this game running in my DSL from sometime back..

So, no issues with running it here ..
