DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: FontForge

Font forge  http://fontforge.sourceforge.net/  seems to be the best font editor for *nix systems.  Can anyone make a MyDSL package of FontForge?
Just a quick note: I think mydsl requests should be in the mydsl forum section (system?)

And from a quick look, it seems that fontforge will require XFree86 as a dependency - are you already using that?

"myDSL Extensions (deprecated)"

That section is closed.

I'm running the default configuration with XVESA at 800 x 600 x 16.

Sounds like a DSL extention would have to be packaged up along with Xfree86.

It would be very useful for porting open source fonts into DSL and creating new fonts for DSL.

I've used bdfedit in DSL to mess around with bitmap fonts. It's not the most stable program, but it works without additional dependencies.

I meant the new sections divided under the myDSL Extensions subsection, such as system.

Either that, or just place the requirement of XF86 in the .info for those who already have that extension.
