DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: one thing left to add to make DSL perfect

slackware-live has it

its soo useful.. but don't worry, I still love DSL, Slackware live is in the 185 MB market and DSL is in the 45 yet... DSL has more stuff :S

Just discovered DSL, I'm a bit of a Linux newbie, and when I tried it against my USR (PRISM 2 based) WiFi card, I was pleased to find it was recognised with out a problem. A friend of mine had had terrible trouble getting it to work under Mandrake.

However, there's a mismatch between IWCONFIG and the ORINOCO driver that throws up a warning that the driver is compiled as version 14 but IWCONFIG is at version 16 and it may mean that IWCONFIG will be broken!

I think it's telling the truth as it won't accept the ESSID keyword e.g.

Code Sample

iwconfig eth0 essid MYSSID key restricted BLAHBLAHBLAH

complains about the SSID I use. Same command under Mandrake is fine.
