DSL Ideas and Suggestions :: missing just 1 little thing....

DSL is great! It spreads like a virus!
I am missing just one little thing: rdesktop 1.3 from <a href="http://www.rdesktop.org" target="_blank">http://www.rdesktop.org</a>
Version 1.3 supports sound and full color, which you'll need for Windows XP and 2003.

er.. the link is broken, what exactly is rdesktop?
rdesktop 1.2 is on the CD. It is used to connect to Win Terminal Server or Citrix server. Kinda like our remote X server ability in Linux.  Maybe 1.3 needs more libraries?
I know version 1.2 is on the cd, that's why I am suggesting version 1.3.
Version 1.3 supports RDP5, the main difference is full color support and audio support. You are also able to connect to the console of a Win2k3 server.
These are a huge improvements for a lot of people.

Roberts, a RDP client cannot be used to connect to a Citrix server. Citrix is using the ICA protocol instead of RDP.
I think it's hardly comparable with remote X server. RDP and ICA are consuming much less bandwidth (about 10kb) and are encrypted by default.
You could compare it to NX from <a href="www.nomachine.com" target="_blank">www.nomachine.com</a>

rdesktop needs the following libraries:

libc6 (>= 2.3.2-1)
libssl0.9.7
SSL shared libraries xlibs (>> 4.1.0)
