Thanks, works just fine now. umount. the n has been removed from all of my documentation and the examples I was trying to follow. I would have sworn I saw an n.

Your post cracked me up because when I first learned how to mount/umount devices I must have typed "unmount" a dozen times before I finally got the hang of typing "umount"

oh and one more thing,
can emelfm's default editor be changed from nedit to scite for the next release? its a little annoying to have to do this myself with every install. Or remember to click "Open With". la~Who was the UNIX genius who decided that the word 'unmount' was just too big and 'umount' is perfect?
