DSL Tips and Tricks :: How do I save my settings with the live CD

Okie thanks I will try that.
Also, be sure to read these .pdfs.  They are very descriptive.

pdfs

Yes, this matter has been discussed million times before but, how can I blame margni? The documentation is scattered here and there and posts like these could have been avoided.
PDF? Who needs pdf? Why not just text files?
Then you have RTFM geniuses like joer who enjoy battering noobies....

I would much rather use text files than pdfs.  Or anything else for that matter.  In fact, antiword is one of the first extensions I load in DSL because my coworkers always send me MS Word document attachments in emails that contain about three sentences of information.

However, those pdfs appear to be the most concise and susinct walkthroughs available.  Because like you said, these forums are scattered and fragmented with RTFMs and side convos like this one.

Antiword is already included in the newer versions of DSL, so for them it is not required to install the antiword extension.
