You might also try BlueFlops. It comes on 2 floppies, has a newer kernal, handles my cardbus pcmcia nick just fine, runs on my HP 800CT with 32M of RAM and no CD. It even has a web browser that runs without X.

You could also try Blueflops... It has a recent linux kernel:
