DSL Tips and Tricks :: Another Settings Question?

I'm trying to get VNC installed with DSL on a DSM and have it load automatically on boot.  I put the /usr/local/bin/vnc4x.sh in the .xinitrc file so that it loads the modules.  The problem is that the downloaded VNC & install that I performed before the reboot is now gone, and when .xinitrc loads, it can't find the files I've specified.  How can I keep the VNC installed permantly and not have to redownload and reinstall upon each reboot?
You could use the mkmydsl script and include the DSL packages on the disc you wish to use; then it should load the module while booting, and then run your script.

I use it on my notebook - I set up everything as I want it, do a backup, and then use that script with the backup and all the DSL packages I wish to use, and after a little tinkering, it works great!
