DSL Tips and Tricks :: Kernel 2.6.x

How can I make a kernel upgrade to 2.6 ?
I DON'T want to use DSL-N...
(it's not working on my PC  :) )
and where do I get the kernel?
And what do I have to change, after having set the new kernel? (e.g.: Bootloader, /etc/src, /etc/lib/...)

If DSL-N doesn't work, it just may be because of the 2.6 kernel....
why shouldent work kernel 2.6?
with slackware it's running to

It's probably easier to try to get DSL-N working, than try to manually add it yourself.

Make a thread in the DSL-N section and state what you did: i.e. what you downloaded, booted, etc. and where do you get stuck at (and any errors).
