different from emelfm that shows the output of the commands issued inside its window; with dfm, the default file manager of the new dsl 4.0, u can see them pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1, to come back to the graphical enviroment press Ctrl+Alt+F2.
legalize cannabis, etc. 
Or run dfm, or the child processes, from an aterm.
Or redirect your window manager output to a file, and tail that file.
