I just ran dsl2unc on amsn-tcltk-0.95-ver5.dsl and the unc works fine - I presume it is OK to mix tcltk-8.4.uci with unc's

Yes. As long as you have enough free cloop devices you should be able to use both uci and unc packages without trouble.I have just added a modules and drivers section of the repository website. This section is for user contributed modules and extra drivers that would enhance your DSL experience.
In this new section we now have
8211.o adm8211.o synaptics.o
855wrap 855patch
Note the modules end with .o Reading the info file is a must.
None of these will load with mydsl-load. Read the info file.New in the testing section
