Release Candidates :: DSL v4.0rc4

The case sensitivity that you talk about has already been address long ago. Not only did I boot with the latest pendrive, which has /KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX on an ext2 partition with a large vfat, but also booted fine toram with an older style USB-ZIP with a single vfat containing /knoppix/knoppix.

Perhaps the linuxrc in embedded did not get updated. Truth is I don't Windows anymore, period. Or perhaps you used a linuxrc from an old boot floppy. With so many editions of DSL, and some requiring a special linuxrc that it could happen. But not with the that which is included on the cdrom images.

I will look into the embedded edition. Hopefully that is where it is.

FYI, since there does not yet exist a DSL v4.0 embedded, your findings while appreciated are really more suited to feedback on the DSL v3.4.x version.

Found the issue with linuxrc in the emdedded edition toram boot option. It only affects the embedded edition and I will be issusing a dsl-v3.4.4 soon.

Thanks for reporting.

No Problem.
Has anybody else noticed that the "getting started" page that opens with dillo on bootup appears to have html errors. There is a little "Bug" icon on the bottom right of the Dillo window that helps you see what the issues are with the page.

I guess most of us just close that on bootup now or have even edited the rc file to stop it opening. I just noticed it on a CD boot this morning.

Thanks for reminding me. I have now cleaned up my bad html coding errors and now the Dillo bug meter shows a check mark!
