13. New unc extension section in the MyDSL Repository.

what are 'unc' extensions?

It's for DSL 3.0 series with unionfs. There just like .uci's in a way.
You guys rock!

I just did a HD install of the latest DSL a couple of days before this release.  I haven't really tweaked much on that box.  I may actually upgrade it to 3.0.  DSL is incredible.

Thanks!

Adam

I agree with Kerry and clivesay: why do you want to keep FF in the base iso, since anyone who's getting in touch with DSL understands quick that its advantage is to run extensions instead of installing apps?

An argument more and a positive evaluation of the mydslPanel.lua: I find the idea to bring mydsl net browser and the mydsl-load function together very very useful and of great pedagogical interest for new users.

When you want to load an extension, you will face the fact that you can load it from your directories or from the repo. of the DSL_Team. In other word, you tell people that the ways to get it from hd or ftp:// or http:// are functionally equivalent. If so, it makes no difference to load FF from hd or ftp:// or http://, but, naturally, the speed of your connection. Yet, this last difficulty seem to me not to be a really great one today, at least not for people using ajax and developping apps and tools in a web environment. And in order to download FF, dillo does the job.

Anyway, just a tought.

Very successful release!
