/etc/skel is used by the system when a new user is created. Its contents are limited to what will go into the user's home directory. I assume you've got a persistent opt directory if your files aren't being upgraded? You can find the /opt/* files in /KNOPPIX/optI don't have a persistent /opt but I have some /opt files in my .filetool.lstafter loading gnu-utils.unc it is possible to mount and umount the devices like hard disks, pendrive, etc. only as user root.

That is really an extension issue not 4.3.
However, it is a good issue to bring up. First I was using busybox mount command, therefore Knoppix/Debian mount was made available in gnu-utils.
Then around v3.4 and thanks to a suggestion from Wdef, I compiled a new mount command which allowed normal user to umount.
So, when gnu-utils was loaded you were retuning to the old mount command.
I have removed the mount/umount commands from gnu-utils.
Thanks for reporting.Hi, sshfs still doesn't work. Now the permissions are good (like in any other distro), but the group isn't set correctly, the DSL user should be in the group which owns the fusermount binary.
So in debian, fuse has its own group, fuse, and if a user wants to use it, he must be member of the fuse group.
So either add a fuse group, and add the DSL user to it, or add the DSL user to the staff group (which 'owns' fusermount).
