HD Install :: Frugal install with sshd enabled

Over the past year I've tinkered with dsl remastering for customized frugal installation to hard disk and I'd like to turn on a ssh server in my next build.

What disk write "gotcha's" are out there if I remaster dsl to have a sshd running all the time?

I think ssh clients would have known_hosts conflicts but I'm not positive... are there any other issues I need pay attention too?
