HD Install :: How to disable hotplug handling floppy and cd?

Now it creates the mount points. I'm going to be using supermount-ng, so I have no need for hotplug with floppies and cd's. And why does it state on boot that automounter has been started for floppy and cd, though it automounts nothing?

Also I'd like to change the mount app (3.2) to handle only usb devices, any hints? Should I just poke around with docked.lua...

The automount check is a carryover from Knoppix, as part of /etc/init.d/knoppix-autoconfig. Since automount doesn't exist in DSL, though, it doesn't actually do anything other than give you that message.
Ok. But why isn't it removed?

Then my other questions....

My guess would be that it would be easier to add it back in if someone wanted to.
As far as I know, the Knoppix script has been mostly left alone because it works. I think there was an addition a while back for some extra hardware detection, but i don't think anything has been removed. While I think I would have streamlined the script if this were my distro, I can understand taking the position "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
