HD Install :: Why does the frugal HD install mysteriously quit?
So there is no problem - the window is supposed to close after you press enter. So if there are no errors, why did one of the documents on DSL have additional steps in the frugal install like entering cheat codes for boot options, designating a default restore partition, and designating a partition for myDSL applications? Were these extra steps part of earlier versions of DSL that have since been eliminated? How do I go through these extra steps that the frugal install procedure has eliminated? You were already given the answer:

I don't think he had any errors. Afaik only the frugal_lilo script prompts you for boot options, since grub's menu.lst is easily editable.
The documentation you are looking at is for frugal lilo and NOT frugal grub. That documentation was created when we only had frugal lilo and it was then called frugal_install.sh. I had not yet added grub to DSL nor I had I even created frugal grub installation program.
The frugal grub installation has in its menu.lst many examples for options and is very easy to edit. I suggest that you take a look at it.
These are different programs and therefore you cannot expect the documentation to apply to both.
