Multimedia :: DSL and the VIA EPIA

Thanks to some help from John and DSL I have managed to create my first modified distribution. Now comes the hard part. I have a multimedia project and would like to use DLS with the VIA EPIA-M motherboard. Unfortunately I am having some problems with the sound driver “via82cxxx.o”. I have also been unable to figure out how to enable “alsa”. Any help would be genuinely appreciated.
