Multimedia :: mp3 problem

I have a problem

When I play a mp3 with Xmms, the mp3 starts playing, but I don't have sound

How can I get working?

ps: I have a motherboard a7v8x with a sound card included...

Quick search on Google gave me that sound was supported in kernel 2.4 but not in 2.6.
Maybe trying an older version of dsl?

Try using the alsadebs.dsl extension from the MyDSL repository. Read the info file before using.
