Multimedia :: How do I make xmms use the other soundcard?

I have two soundcards on my machine, and xmms are picking the onboard AC'97 based OEM card while I would rather it used the M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496 (snd-ice1712) PCI card. How do I go about to acheive this?

I never have tested this, but I do know that installing the ALSA sound driver it is possible to choose the sound card from "preferences" menu of XMMS.
